Miscellaneous Commentary from the 415.

First of all, three cheers for STELLAR weather days in The City. Already having temps over 70 degrees several times this year in this 49 square mile town I call home and I am not complaining! It is a damn crying shame I am stuck inside at work all day 5 days a week though. At least if the windows opened it would be more enjoyable...not that there is a window by my awesome cube or anything. Tomorrow's projected high in the Financial District is 85 degrees. Good god! I consider that nice and warm, could be warmer. But most here in town call that "hot" and I am sure there will be people stripping down in the streets tomorrow come 3pm. Obviously they have never endured a summer in Phoenix.

Next on the hit parade is this: what is the deal with the obscene amounts of Yankees fans in the Bay area, particularly at the A's/Yanks game last night? Sheesh! It was so disheartening to see a stadium uncharacteristically half-empty (especially for a visiting team like New York) and note that 75% of the fans there were loser Yankees fair-weather fans. It was rather scary. The A's couldn't come back from the run deficit but we sure held on and tried our best. I think if 3rd base coach guy hadn't held that runner and called him back, we could have tried like hell to slide in at home and tie up the game. Where is Ron Washington when you need him? Go A's!

Finally, to all our dear Hutieville readers I send my apologies for majorly slacking in the posting department compared to Dave. What can I say? I have actually had to spend my time at the office working the last several weeks and I am just not accustomed to that! Days without any personal time are hard to come by as of late. I will do better. Maybe.

I am off to the annual Girls Camping Extravaganza this weekend from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. A great group of ladies gets together every year and we do it up right for two nights sans dudes. And I will just go on record now forewarning those already conjuring up images of lesbian smooching and pillow fights while scantily clad in lace and undies. Trust me - last year's Girls Camping got to witness first-hand the above scenario and it is nothing beautiful or sexy. No offense to the thespians out there - lipstick or not - but the glossy, Hollywood produced girl-on-girl-but-not-genuine-lesbo porn is so much more pretty than the real thing...in the wilderness...while the lesbo soundtrack of Nine Inch Nails plays in the background trying to drown out the horrendous moaning for two hours while you cringe because this is all happening a mere 25 feet away from you. Get a room!

Thank you, that is all.

Why can't it be warm when I come to visit? I've tried every season now and it's always butt cold.
