Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid.

Lambert advises us to read BTD immediately but I am linking to both as I support Lambert's fundraising addendum. But the must read is BTD's expansion on Glenn Greenwald today. Excerpt:
Jane [Hamsher] also asked [Bruce] Fein about Obama adviser Cass Sunstein's recent statements that Bush officials should not be prosecuted for their illegal detention, interrogation and spying programs. To get a sense for why this matters, National Journal this morning listed Sunstein as one of a small handful of likely Supreme Court appointees in an Obama administration. But -- similar to Fein's point regarding Jay Rockefeller, Jane Harman and comrades -- Sunstein has long been one of the most vocal enablers of Bush radicalism and lawlessness, having continuously offered himself up over the last seven years to play the legal version of the TNR role of
"even-liberal-Cass-Sunstein-agrees-with-Bush."

I am afraid, I am very afraid. I said before why pursue abuse of power when you are looking forward to your own abuse of power. Sustein is troubling on so many fronts. Irony: Roe v. Wade overturned by Dems. Yeah, gobama! alright.

Thanks gobama08! You make your point well. Folding is the mission, point taken. But my opinion is this was not the year to submit but the year to fight. So the party picks an appeaser who embraces Republicans, puts them in his cabinet and on his VP list, panders to the evangelicals and runs from democratic principles. So I recognize your support for Obama but can you really say you are a Democrat? I see your new party as the demise of the party.
