I asked yesterday for you to own the economy issue like only a Democrat could and today you spoke to me for the very first time in this election and I know that took eating some crow. I suspect you listened to Bill in that meeting, if not taking some speech writing advice. (Of course Bill could have said it in fewer words, thus better able to reach average voters and to be clipped for newsbites.) I now almost feel like there's a Democrat in the race for the first time. Now, will you stick with it and not use it as a patch to fix an immediate political problem like the other best speeches ever? You're believable with your new teleprompter, in fact you might just begin reaching all those people you wrote off, you know - the racists. Oh and ask Mr. Biden to shut up.
BTD has the transcript here (he links from TPM, but I wouldn't do that to you, you might have to read about tanning beds).

Yes, Clintonesque but not quite soup but clearly a step in the right direction. I agree a good sign that he may finally get over the ego and realize that he has to work for this like everyone else. He still has an enabling media but nothing like the primary and no Hillary hate to use as motivation. He has to talk to voters, I know that's below him, but he may finally be seeing the light as the polls continue to betray him.
Well of course after that teaser, I've just gotten back from TPM. It took me a minute to find the tanning bed story. What a buffoon. Did WKJM read it before she published it? It is on his site. I guess credibility is so far gone he may as well throw in the Huffington towel.
he can get better but he can never have my respect after the primary - im just a racist like you dave
I love the part about bankruptcy, someone remind him that Biden is on the ticket.
yes, reality is setting in, he's watching this slip away and with no one to hand him this election when he can't win it, maybe he's finally realizing he has to get over himself
I'm trying but I'm not there yet. I would never support a Republican, but I may just sit it out. It would be the first time since my first vote for George McGovern. The party betrayed us and he is going to have to do so much more than this though this is his best to date. I really think I still need an apology, an acknowledgement of all the lies that were spread in the primary. An apology for what he did to fracture the party and the Democratic brand. You make light of being called a racist. I want an apology. I spent nights in jail fighting for civil rights in the 60's and some egomaniac is going to come tell me to get out of the party and if I won't vote for him I'm racist? I need more.
anon must be a knitter. bet she loves that cunt palin.
glad to see a post finally not endorsing mccain. new party, new people, you can cry about all your ideals all you want, your working class whatever is no longer welcome, get over it and join us
I've never endorsed McCain. Sorry you can't see the forest sir, I know, it's those damn trees.
You do know that everytime you open your mouth, Obama loses a vote.
